Elizabethtown man, Brett Brown, has been arrested after attacking an Uber driver in what cops say was an attempted robbery.

Brown was taken in custody after allegedly attacking an Uber driver with a hatchet in the 1st block of East College Avenue, Lancaster County, PA.

According the Elizabethtown police chief, on Mar. 13 around 5:45 a.m., 3 people hailed an Uber in York to take them to Elizabethtown. The police chief says once they arrived at their destination an argument ensued and Brett Brown attacked the driver with a hatchet, causing minor injuries to the driver’s head and arm. The victim also told police that several personal items had been stolen.

After being interviewed by police the driver took himself to the hospital.

Police were able to follow tracks in the snow to Brown’s house, where they found sneakers with a matching tread and sweatpants still wet from the snow, according to local21news.

Brown has been charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated assault.

He is currently in custody in the Lancaster County prison and his bail is set at $500,000.
