Dave Barnett, the veteran play-by-play announcer for the Texas Rangers claims the go-ahead run was at “fifth” and had just been involved in a “botched robbery” complete with “henchman,” and suddenly producers cut his microphone for a few moments. He then returned to finish the game.
The Rangers announced that Barnett will miss the final two games of the series in San Diego to undergo medical evaluation.
