WISE COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Brittany Counts, Wyatt Mask, Preslee Mask and an unborn child, have been identified as the victims in a Monday fatal vehicle crash near Parker County, Texas.
Counts, 25, was killed along with her unborn child and the two youths, 7 and 4, in a Monday afternoon vehicle crash near Springtown.
According to reports, Counts was operating a Ford Edge on State Highway 199 in Springtown, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a pickup truck around 12:30 p.m. Monday. The force of the crash sent the Ford into opposing lanes where it was struck by a second pickup truck.
Counts and the children were killed in the crash.
The driver of the second pick-up, 72-year-old Beauford Basped, Jr., of Kennedale, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

WEST HARTFORD, CT. (THECOUNT) – A boy has been accused of killing his sister and injuring his mother in a stabbing at their home in West Hartford Monday afternoon. The family has only thus far been identified as the Murphy-Curtin family.
Police were called to a home on Stoner Drive around 3:30 p.m. after a woman called 911 saying that she and her daughter had been attacked and stabbed by her son.
According to police, the boy has been taken into custody. The suspect was also had a minor injury from the incident.
The mother is listed in stable condition at St. Francis Hospital.
The family has been identified as the Murphy-Curtin family. No names of the victims or suspect have been released. Continue reading
AUGUSTA, GA. (THECOUNT) — Jack Fields has been identified as the suspect shot and killed by a Richmond County deputy who was stabbed during the incident.
Fields, 25, stabbed a Richmond County deputy who returned fire killing the suspect.
The deadly incident occurred near the Residence Inn by Marriott Augusta, on Marks Church Road, around 8:11 p.m. on Thursday.
Agents say the deputy involved was dispatched to the hotel on a ‘trouble with subject’ call around 8:00 p.m. Once on the scene, the suspect involved reportedly started stabbing the deputy. The deputy then shot the suspect, who died on the scene. The exchange took place in the hotel lobby area.
Fields’ body is in the process of being transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a suspect who was shot and killed by a deputy Thursday night after stabbing him. 25-year-old Jack Darrel Fields, Jr., died at the scene Thursday night. Continue reading
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — TJ Langfitt of Gilbert, SC., was identified as the man killed in a single-vehicle crash June 12.
The fatal crash occurred near the 2000 block of Cedar Grove Road in Leesville at 10p.m., noted the Lexington County coroner.
Timothy Robert “TJ” Langfitt, Jr., 18, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Langfitt was operating a vehicle traveling on Cedar Grove Rd., when he left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck multiple trees.
Langfitt was wearing a seatbelt when the incident occurred, and there were no other occupants in the vehicle. Continue reading
Rapper Young Dolph was shot Tuesday in Hollywood. He was being rushed to a local hospital.
Dolph, aka, Adolph Thornton, Jr., was the man injured after being shot inside Shoe Palace store near Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue on Tuesday.
The shooting was reported shortly after 1 p.m. LAPD described the victim as a man in his 20s. Dolph transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
Law enforcement sources tell us the rapper was just outside The Shoe Palace at the famous Hollywood and Highland intersection when he was hit … officers were nearby and responded immediately. source
At this time, no arrests have been made and it’s unclear how many people may have opened fire. Dolph suffered multiple gunshot wounds but his injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time.
Ex-Sean Penn wifey and House Of Cards actress, Robin Wright is in final negotiations to join Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in Alcon’s “Blade Runner” sequel, reports Variety.

Sinatra Jr, who was also a singer, carried on with his famous dad’s legacy with his own music career.

Early ratings data for Sunday’s Academy Awards broadcast show Oscar hit a 7-year low and a 6.4 percent drop in household viewing from the comparable figures for last year’s bomb.
Nielsen data showed Oscar averaged a 23.4 household rating in 56-city overnight sample, down from an initial 25 rating of last year’s fail, which was down from 27.9 the year before. Ouch.
