A 5-year-old girl bouncing on the bed was accidentally shot after a gun stored between the bed’s mattresses discharged.

The incident occurred past midnight which makes me wonder what a 5-year-old was doing up much less jumping on the bed but I guess shit happens.
The kid was wounded in the ankle area and transported to a Chicago Children’s Hospital. It is presumed the brat’s injury will not be life-threatening.
