How long can we keep the man from reaching his final resting place?
What’s the problem?
The problem of Michael being put to rest is complicated, however, make no mistake about it, Katherine Jackson, MJ’s mom, will make the final decision.
Katherine doesn’t want her son buried at Neverland, because mom says, Michael recently stated he never wanted to return to that place.
Since Katherine was the only Jackson (besides MJ’s kids) mentioned in his 2002 will, she surely will have the final say on this matter. While many of us like the idea of Michael ending up in Neverland, the reality of it is, Jackie, Jermaine and Tito will have to put some real pressure on mom to agree to a Neverland burial.
Others think Gary, Indiana, is a fitting place to lay Michael to rest. If Michael had any sort of normal childhood, it was probably in Gary.
Then there is the Hollywood Hills burial and what some are calling the “V.I.P. R.I.P.” Berry Gordy is pushing for that scenario and went as far as to purchase a crypt there.
Neverland, Gary, IN, Forest Lawn or?

I believe that Gary, Indiana will be right place for Micheal’s burial even though he had spent only 11 years of his life there but that was the place where he was born, started his career successfully and had a normal person’s life. This will be inspiration to every normal person to raise him/herself with hard work and passion leading to live a dream life. Arvin

I think his resting place should be “Neverland” it was the place that gave him his greatest joys, he cared about people,kids, and really just was a big kid himself…that’s why he made it….for himself and others to enjoy….till the greedy blood sucking leeches came along and tried to constantly bring him down!! How many millions did he loose to these vultures?? Well I say let the family profit off his body at Neverland, not like he needs his body no more….let them get back the money that was taken from his fortunes and use most of the money to commemorate his vasts achievements and use for charities that Michael was giving too.
Neverland was his dream…it was his non-reality place that was his reality. It gave him joy ..so why not give him back his joy that people tried so hard to take from him…
Michael I hope you are laid to rest at your “Neverland”
A few lines from a poem I wrote long ago…
” I dig my feet in the sand, wash away the tears with my hand,
A place that nobody knows, never ever told a soul,
That this is my “Wonderland” (in your case Neverland),
It’s a place I like to go, where know really knows,
That this is my Wonderland”
What those few lines meant in my poem was, that when I think of how people always try to bring the good ones down in life, I take myself to my place with in myself that is beautiful, everyone is nice and happy and giving and caring, where there is laughter joy, balloons, carnivals…things that make people smile…
And that Michael is what I know in my heart your “Neverland was to you! A place you could escape, where you built your surroundings to not only bring you happiness but to share with others and only wish that the world was like that in real…
It saddens me to know what a great person you were and how little by little they kept taking chunks of your happiness away from you til your spirit was broken.
Hopefully if you don’t get to be in your Neverland…you will find it up in heaven!!!

I loved Micheal with all my heart and to see his family and the rest of the world go through such a thing makes me feel like I have never been born.I think he (the king of pop) should be buried in Neverland the place where he had the greatest moments of his life.When u were alive I thought u wouldnt go so soon but u did and now I know what a loss it is for the world.I love u Micheal Jackson and I hope u rest in peace.

I think that they should just burie him and let him rest in peace. I dealt loved to listen to mr.michael jackson but now that he is gone I listen to his music even more. I do not think that he should be burried in neverland he should be burried in his home town.
Not sure if any of you read the first part of this story, but MJ specifically said he does not want to be buried in Neverland….or rather he never wants to return to that place…the least they can do is honour the man’s wishes for at least his death!! Come on, so many years people have hounded him and stalked him…let him have some peace and quiet. I say bury in in a place that no one knows. Somewhere anonymous, let him have some peace and a quiet resting place. The man craved quiet and solitude. We’ve celebrated his life, had a big circus..sorry memorial, exposed and exploited his daughter ..sorry put his family on stage to say goodbye…at least give him a quiet burial.
i agree with #6. Michael’s decision should be respected and his burial should be private and his soul should be put to rest where no one will ever bother him.
I believe he should be buried somewhere near where his children will reside. They will want to visit his grave. Maybe take pointers from Princess Diana’s burial. Bury him near the family but away from public view. He get his peace, his children can be near him and visit him in private.

I agree his family is taking there time to figure where the best place to make the most money. I think Michael’s mom already knows where her son perferred to be buried. Dang I miss michael. He was a good man. Michael’s mother NEVER wanted him buried at Neverland because of the mess and drama that happened there. They found out where they want to bury him, BUT they plan on burying him next month. That’s crazy. I honestly think he should be buried in Gary. I have always been a fan of Michael and when I was a child I found it amazing that he was from my homestate, Indiana. I, personally would want to be buried in my hometown even if no longer lived in the same state. Its where your real home is.

Michael was an insperation to children all over the world. His biggest achievement was his own children. Why not let them decide where their daddy should be laid to rest. Its only fair for them. Michael had only a short period of time with his children. Let them spend the rest of their lives by his side. Life is too short to sweat over the little things.
