OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Nolan Anderson of Guthrie, Oklahoma, was killed Saturday evening after his vehicle left Interstate 40 and struck a bridge support just west of the Kickapoo Turnpike in Jones, Oklahoma County. Anderson was the sole occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene. Anderson was 28.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the crash at approximately 7:40 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 40. According to OHP, Anderson was traveling eastbound when his vehicle departed the roadway to the right for an unknown reason, struck a bridge support and came to rest. Anderson was wearing a seat belt at the time. No other vehicles were involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. OHP has not released information regarding speed, impairment, weather conditions, or mechanical factors, and the investigation is ongoing.
