According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Greenler was operating a pickup truck eastbound when she failed to maintain control of the vehicle. The truck traveled off the roadway, struck a tree, and then became partially submerged in a nearby pond.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and encountered significant damage consistent with a high-impact crash involving a roadway departure and water submersion. Officials reported that multiple occupants sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
Madison Yates, 21, of Tiffin, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Jonathan Bowling, 22, also of Tiffin, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Alexzandria Hickle, 22, also of Tiffin, was transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Hermoiney Greenler, 19, of Bucyrus, was also pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, according to authorities.
The crash occurred along a rural section of State Route 18, a roadway that connects smaller communities throughout Seneca County and includes stretches where roadside hazards such as trees, drainage ditches, and nearby water features are present close to the travel lanes. The area is known for limited lighting and higher travel speeds typical of rural highway corridors.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding possible contributing factors such as speed, impairment, distraction, or weather conditions at the time of the crash. Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The vehicle’s departure from the roadway and subsequent impact with a tree resulted in severe structural damage. Officials noted that the vehicle then entered a pond, requiring additional response efforts from emergency crews due to partial submersion.
No further information has been released regarding whether toxicology testing will be conducted or whether any citations or charges are anticipated as part of the ongoing investigation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol has not indicated when a final crash report will be completed. The investigation remains active.
