MORROW COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Skylar Beveridge has been identified as the 27-year-old man killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Morrow County, Ohio. He was 27. A 10-year-old girl who was a passenger in his vehicle also died in the collision.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. on County Road 25 near State Route 61 in Lincoln Township. Investigators say Beveridge, of Mount Gilead, was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty eastbound on County Road 25 at the time of the incident.

An 18-year-old man was operating a 2011 GMC Sierra westbound on the same roadway when the vehicles collided. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that Beveridge drove left of center, and the GMC struck the passenger side of the Jeep.

Emergency responders arrived on scene and rendered aid. Beveridge was transported to Morrow County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 10-year-old girl was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 18-year-old driver of the GMC Sierra sustained serious injuries and was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released his name.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that Beveridge and the child passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be contributing factors.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Morrow County is located in north-central Ohio. County Road 25 and State Route 61 run through rural portions of the county, including Lincoln Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates fatal crashes on both state routes and local roadways throughout the region.
