BAINBRIDGE, GA. (THECOUNT) — Authorities have identified the victims and the suspect involved in a tragic Thanksgiving Day murder-suicide in Bainbridge, Georgia. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), 36-year-old Shendora “Rose Black” Adams and Tyiun Adams, reportedly her 19-year-old son, were fatally shot inside their home on Hunter Road on Thursday morning, Nov. 28. The deceased shooter has been identified as Jamar Calloway

Deputies from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after receiving a report at approximately 10:51 a.m. Both Shendora and Tyiun were found with gunshot wounds and were later transported to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsies.

Suspect Identified as Jamar Calloway

36-year-old Calloway, reportedly an ex-boyfriend of “Dora” Adams, is believed to be responsible for the deaths of both victims. After the shooting, Calloway fled to Ocala, Florida, where he allegedly turned the gun on himself.

Calloway succumbed to his self-inflicted injuries at a Florida hospital on Friday night, according to the GBI.

Investigation Ongoing

The investigation into this devastating incident is ongoing. Once complete, findings will be submitted to the South Georgia Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review.
