OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Ernest Glenn Harlow, of Oklahoma, has been identified as the deceased suspect in a Monday morning murder-suicide involving a motorcycle crash in northwest Oklahoma City.

Harlow, 61, died in a motorcycle crash after allegedly beating his wife to death in a home in Oklahoma City early Monday morning.

According to reports, Harlow texted family members saying he killed his wife and planned to take his own life. Family members called police who responded to a residence near Southwest 36th Street and South Villa Place in Oklahoma City around midnight. When they arrived, a woman was found deceased of blunt force trauma injuries.

Harlow, who has ties to Texas, was then involved in a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Interstate 44 and Western.

Police believe Harlow killed his wife then intentionally crashed his motorcycle into a concrete cable barrier.

Authorities have not officially released the victim’s name pending next-of-kin notification.
