PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jonathan Robertson, of Pittsville, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal shooting in Pittsville County.

Jon Robertson, 28, was fatally shot in Gretna Sunday night.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired on Falcon Ridge Drive in the Leesville Lake area of Gretna around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, Robertson had already been transported by private vehicle to an area hospital.

Robertson was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Robertson’s body was then transported to the medical examiner office for an autopsy.

The investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
