BAJA CALIFORNIA, MX. (THECOUNT) — Elliot Blair GoFundMe: Blair, an assistant public defender in Orange County, died Saturday in Rosarito Beach close to the Mexico’s northern border.
Police have not released details, however, local media reported that Blair died as a result of an accidental fall from a room at the Las Rocas Resort and Spa.

A GoFundMe page said Blair “was the victim of a brutal crime.” His family is working with U.S. Officials to obtain more information.

On January 14, 2023, Elliot Blair and his wife, Kim, were in Rosarito, Mexico, celebrating their one year wedding anniversary when Elliot was tragically killed. We wish we could provide everyone with more information, but very limited information has been disclosed by authorities in Mexico. He was the victim of a brutal crime. His family is working with US Officials to gain more information.
Elliot and Kim have been dedicated Public Defenders in Orange County, CA since 2017. Elliot was a compassionate lawyer who dedicated his life to serving indigent clients. Elliot was known as a patient and caring advocate. He was the best of us and was loved by countless members of our office and the Orange County legal community. We are heartbroken.
Elliot was known for a smile on his face and a clever mind. There are not enough words to express the level of love he had for Kim. Kim was his life. They just started building a life together in their first year of marriage. Elliot was killed on their one year wedding anniversary. Kim’s heart is shattered.
Elliot is survived by his beautiful loving wife, Kim, his mom, Stella Blair, his sister, Candice Wilson, his nephew Samuel, and all of his dear friends and loved ones. We take solace in the fact that Elliot is now with his father, Tom, who passed away two years ago. Elliot and Tom were thick as thieves; They spent countless hours together in the garage working on cars, dirt bikes, and dune buggies.
We are raising funds to help Kim with the cumbersome process involved in transporting Elliot’s body from Mexico to the USA and dealing with all the red tape.

Police in Rosarito said hotel workers called authorities about 1:15 a.m. after finding Blair’s body.
A local news outlet said investigators claimed to have found evidence that Blair was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his death.
