DUPAGE COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Axel Steven Morales, of Joliet, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday afternoon fatal vehicle crash in Dupage County.
Morales, 31, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Aurora Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, Morales was operating a vehicle on South Edgelawn Drive near Prairie Street in Aurora, when the vehicle failed to stop at a posted stop sign around 2 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with another vehicle. Morales’ vehicle then came into contact with a tree.
Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other involved vehicle was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
