CLARKE COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Wilt Alford, of Pachuta, Mississippi, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Sunday night fatal vehicle strike in Clarke County. Jalen Nixon, of Vossburg, has been identified as the involved driver.
Alford, 42, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle near Pachuta Christmas night.

According to reports, Alford was on-foot on Highway 11, when a Nissan Maxima operated by 18-year-old Nixon, struck Alford around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Alford died of injuries suffered in the collision.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
