HANCOCK COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Amy Brogdon Anderson, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, has been identified as the deceased suspect in a Wednesday Bay St. Louis shooting that left two police officers dead.

Bay St. Louis Police Department Officer Branden Estorffe, 23, and Officer Steven Robin, 34, were both fatally shot during a welfare check at a Motel 6 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, early Wednesday morning.

According to reports, The officers responded to a call of a welfare check at a Motel 6 at 1003 Highway 90 in Bay St. Louis around 4 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, 43-year-old Anderson was found seated in a vehicle with a juvenile female.

After interacting about 30 minutes, Anderson opened fire fatally striking the officers.

Anderson then reportedly turned the gun on herself dying of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officer Robin was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene and Officer Estorffe succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.

According to Facebook, Anderson worked as a Veterinarian at MedVet Mobile and Lakeview Animal Hospital.
