WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — Ajaye Smith, of Washington, DC, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal shooting.

Smith, 30, was fatally shot in Washington, DC Friday night.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 3400 block of Stanton Road around 9 p.m. When they arrived, Smith was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Smith was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
