Via GoFundMe:
Luke, his wife Brandi, and their two small children were driving home after a quick trip to Prairie du Chien Sunday morning, when an unexpected collision happened with an oncoming vehicle. Brandi sustained non-life-threatening injuries in which she is being hospitalized for. Their 5-year-old daughter has a fractured wrist, and their 3-year-old son was physically unharmed. Unfortunately, Luke lost his life at the time of the accident.
Luke was a devoted and loving husband and father, undeniably. He and Brandi were high school sweethearts and spent 16 loving years together, 8 of those years in marriage. They routinely took the kids on camping trips every weekend during the summer months which became one of their favorite family hobbies. When not doing family activities, Luke also enjoyed hiking, taking the top of his Jeep Wrangler, being outdoors, and fishing.
Luke waited with his daughter each morning to get on the school bus, and worked for Allamkee-Clayton County Electric Cooperative during the day until he would pick his daughter up from school every afternoon. His kids loved him dearly, but are understanding that Daddy is reunited in Heaven with their beloved pup, Indy. He played a very large roll in his marriage with Brandi and leaves behind an unexplainable, hearting-breaking void for both her and their family.
Donations and prayers will be appreciated and helpful for the Hackman family while they heal and navigate through this tragic accident and loss of their loved one.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
