HENRY COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Richard Patterson, of Spring Port, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night vehicle crash involving a suspect drunk driver in Henry County.
Patterson, 73, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Prairie Township involving an SUV operated by 50-year-old Nathan Lacy of Farmland.

According to reports, Patterson was operating a motorcycle near his home on CR-650-N near North Prairie Road in New Castle, when an SUV operated by Lacy came into contact with the bike round 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Patterson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Lacy admitted to responding Henry County sheriff’s deputies that he had consumed “several alcoholic beverages prior to the wreck.”
Lacy was arrested on a preliminary count of driving while intoxicated causing death. He was being held in the Henry County jail on Thursday under a $10,000 surety bond and a $1,500 cash bond.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
