SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Maya Calzadam of Winter Park, Florida, the suspect arrested over a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a 63-year-old man who was walking his dog in Seminole County, was also wanted for Arson charges.
Calzadam, 22, was booked on July 30th on the following Arson charges:

Calzada was operating an Audi SUV Jorge Albert De Castro when she fatally struck 63-year-old Castro and his dog on June 1 around 8:15 p.m. on Eagle Circle and Shadow Drive in Casselberry.
Calzada the fled the scene.
Officers found the SUV, on fire, about a mile from the crash scene. The vehicle ended up being stolen.
The investigation showed that Calzada lied to troopers about her whereabouts and was seen on surveillance video ditching the Audi in an apartment complex.
Calzada is being charged with negligent homicide, perjury and failing to remain at a crash involving death. It is unknown if the arson charges are related.
