FAYETTE COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Shelby Ann Stocker and John Mitchell Potter Jr., both of Lexington, Kentucky, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Fayette County.

Stocker, 24, and 32-year-old Potter, were both killed in a Wednesday night single-vehicle crash in Lexington.

According to reports, the couple were traveling in a vehicle on Delong Road near Colliver Lane in Lexington, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle wrecked around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Stocker and Potter were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

DEVELOPING::

The coroner identified the victims as 32-year-old John Potter II and 24-year-old Shelby Stoker. The coroner’s office said Potter and Stoker both died from multiple blunt trauma injuries and were pronounced dead on scene at 9:58 p.m.

The police department’s collision reconstruction unit was called out to investigate the crash.
