NASSAU COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Long Island couple, Shenella ‘Atola’ Braithwaite and Travis ‘Dumars’ Williams, have been identified as the victims in a Monday fiery vehicle crash in Nassau County.
Williams, 45, and Braithwaite, 35, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash in Islip early Monday morning.

According to reports, the couple was traveling in a vehicle operated by Williams on the Southern State Parkway near Exit 40 in Islip, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:15 a.m. Monday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree and burst into flames.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force and thermal injuries.
Braithwaite was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead of blunt force and thermal injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
