HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Todd Richard McKenna of Seminole, Florida, has been identified as one of two victims who apparently drown while cave diving in Hernando County Wednesday.
McKenna, 52 and 63-year-old Stephen Roderick Gambrell, both died while cave diving at Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area Wednesday.

According to reports, the men were cave diving at the wildlife area when they both died Wednesday around noon Wednesday.
One man was found floating facedown, while the other was located at a depth of about 137 feet.
The divers appeared to have the appropriate equipment but it is not yet known whether it was working properly.
The incident remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office said Thursday.
The “>Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area is about 40 miles north of Tampa, on Florida’s Gulf coast.
According to Facebook, McKenna formerly worked at the Department of Homeland Security.
