LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — Photographer Mike Mora, who married Kelis 8 years ago, has died after a battle with cancer. He was 37.
Mora died after a fight with stage 4 stomach cancer.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Kelis’ team confirmed the news in a statement to the outlet.
“Sadly, it’s true that Mike Mora has passed away. We would ask all to respect Kelis and her family’s privacy as of right now. Thank you,” said Steve Satterthwaite, of Red Light Management.
Mora spoke about his battle with cancer back in October 2021 and had posted several photos that chronicled his life since he was told by his doctors that he had 18 months to live when he was diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma — stomach cancer stage 4.
A rep for Mike, who was a professional photographer, confirmed the death which comes 6 months after he learned of his cancer diagnosis.
Mike and Kelis had secretly tied the knot back in 2014, and had 2 children together — 6-year-old son, Shepherd, and 1-year old daughter, Galilee.
