MACOMB COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Allen Carl Jasmund, of Clinton Township, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday morning fatal single-vehicle crash in Macomb County.

Jasmund, 71, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Clinton Township Tuesday morning.

According to reports, Jasmund was operating a vehicle on Interstate 94 near 16 Mile Road, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then made contact with a guardrail before colliding with a concrete barrier.

A female passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with injuries considered to be non-life threatening.

Jasmund was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
