JEFFERSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Coretta Hale, of Louisville, Kentucky, has been identified as the suspect arrested in a Saturday morning fatal shooting in Jefferson County.
Hale, 26, was taken into custody following a fatal convenience store parking lot shooting in Louisville early Saturday morning.

According to reports, police responded to call of shots fired in the parking lot of Circle K on South 3rd Street in Louisville around 3:40 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, a male victim in his late 20s to early 30s was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
An hour later, Hale returned to the seen of the shooting and admitted to police that she had fired the weapon.
According to an eye-witness, Hale was observed shooting the victim multiple times before departing the scene in a Buick LeSabre. Hale was wearing a red Circle K shirt with black pants.
Hale was charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in relation to the homicide.
The victim’s name has yet to be released.
