HANOVER COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jacinto Joseph Thompson, of Richmond, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal vehicle crash in Hanover County.
Thompson, 42, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Mechanicsville Saturday night.

According to reports, Thompson was operating a Buick SUV on Creighton Road near Sledd Lane, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10:20 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then entered a culvert.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
