GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Shawna Marie Perault, of Kalkaska, Michigan, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Monday night in Grand Traverse County.
Perault, 34, was killed after she was struck by a vehicle near Traverse City Monday night.

According to reports, Perault was on-foot on US-31 in the area of Williamsburg, when she was struck by a passing SUV around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
MSP officials believe the SUV driver was not at fault, according to reports.
Perault was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
