CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Curtis Andrew Denton Jr., of Antioch, California, has been identified as the victim in a Monday fatal vehicle crash in Contra Costa County.
Denton, 27, better known as Bay Area rapper “Young Curt,” was killed in a car crash on Monday near Byron.

According to reports, Denton was operating a Dodge Charger on Byron Highway near Holey Road in Byron, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2 a.m. Monday.
Denton was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
