HARLEM, NY. (THECOUNT) — Andre Harrell, the founder of the record label, Uptown Records who became president/CEO of Motown Records, has died. He was 59.

Harrell, also one half of this hip-hop duo “Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde,” passed away on Friday, May 8th.

Harrell is perhaps best known as the man that turned Puff Daddy into a music mogul.

A cause of death was not provided.
