SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Michael Joya, of Bay Shore, New York, has been identified as the victim in a motorcycle collision in Suffolk County Thursday night.

Joya, 31, was killed in North Bay Shore after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle Thursday night.

According to reports, Joya was operating a motorcycle on Ohio Avenue near Delaware Avenue in North Bay Shore, when the bike came into contact with a Ford Mustang around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Joya was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

The driver of the Mustang was uninjured.

Anyone with possible information on the collision should cotact police at 911.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
