LYON COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Cynthia Flores-Rosas has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday night single-vehicle crash that injured several others.

Flores-Rosas died and three other females were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Lyon Co. late Tuesday night.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Flores-Rosas was riding as a passenger when the driver, 23-year-old Serena Tovar, for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Tuesday night around 11:15 p.m.

The vehicle then entered a culvert causing it to rollover multiple times.

The crash occurred in the 600 block of K99 near Severy.

Tovar and a second passenger, 24-year-old Alondra Perez suffered serious injuries in the crash.

22-year-old Bethany Torres suffered non life threatening injuries.

Flores-Rosas was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Officials say Flores-Rosas was the only one not wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
