NAPLES, FL. (THECOUNT) — Benedict Reycroft, of Bonita Springs, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday night single-vehicle crash in Naples.

According to Monday morning reports, Reycroft was operating a Toyota Corolla along Vanderbilt Beach Road near Wilshire Lakes Boulevard, in Naples, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Sunday night. The vehicle then made contact with a wall at the entrance of Wilshire Lakes Residential Community.
Reycroft was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The FHP said Reycroft, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
