DARTMOUTH, MA. (THECOUNT) — David Costa Jr., of Fairhaven, MA, has been identified as the victim in a violent single-vehicle crash in Dartmouth Saturday morning.
Costa, 23, was killed in an early morning single-vehicle crash Saturday in Dartmouth.

According to officials, Costa was operating a vehicle in the 300 block of Cross Road around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole and a chain link fence before coming to a rest.
Costa had to be extracted from the vehicle.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
