SALISBURY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Six people were shot and several trampled in a subsequent incident early Sunday morning at Salisbury, North Carolina Thelma’s Down Home Cooking restaurant, officials say.

It incident occurred at the popular restaurant just after midnight in Salisbury.

Police say, officers responded to a call of shots fired on Jake Alexander Blvd W Sunday morning around 12 a.m. When officer arrived they found six people suffering from gunshot injuries and several people injured in the resulting panic.

The eatery is located at, 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd W in Salisbury, NC.

Six people were shot, two were trampled and one was treated for anxiety, according to ABC11.

One shooting victim was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and the others shot were taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Officials have not identified any suspects, and they are asking if anyone has cellphone video or photos that could help them along with the investigation.
