SARASOTA, FL. (THECOUNT) — Jett Wade Wong has been identified as the teen involved in a fatal motorcycle crash in Sarasota on Thursday.

Troopers say, Wong, 19, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle on Bee Ridge at a high rate of speed when he made contact with a vehicle and crashed Thursday night.

According to officials, Wong was operating a motorcycle on Bee Ridge Road, near Worcester Road, when a vehicle driven by a 68-year-old Sarasota man attempted to turn onto Worcester.

The motorcycle the collided with the vehicle ejecting Wong.

Wong was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The vehicle driver, who was not identified, was uninjured in the incident.

Troopers say the crash remains under investigation, reports MySunCoast.

No one was cited at the scene and no charges have been filed at this time.
