BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — Luis Morillo and Miles Gibson have been arrested in the late November shooting death of Oliver Askia outside a Bronx nightclub, the NYPD said Friday.

Morillo, 18, and Gibson, 20, were both charged with murder and gun possession in the death of 26-year-old Askia on Nov. 30.

The suspects, who live in the same building on Undercliff Ave, were taken into custody Thursday afternoon. It wasn’t clear what prompted the shooting, reports NYDailyNews.

Askia was shot once in the chest at the saloon located on University Ave. near Featherbed Lane in Morris Heights about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Askia was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Askia, who lived in East New York, Brooklyn, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center but couldn’t be saved, reports NYDailyNews.

A motive in the deadly incident has not yet been provided by officials.
