LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — According to multiple reports, the father of Eric Holder, the man charged in the shooting death of rapper, Nipsey Hussle, has died of unnatural causes.

The father’s death would reportedly mark the 4th Holder family member to be killed since Hussle’s fatal shooting. Holder himself suffered a near fatal beating while in jail, according to media reports.

According to multiple reports – Holder’s father was reportedly killed. The father is not believed to have had anything to do with the rapper’s killing and it’s not clear whether the father’s alleged killing was in retaliation for Nipsey’s murder, reports MTO.

One day after Nipsey’s killing, two men believed to be cousins of Eric Holder, were shot and killed in South Central. Neither of those men were suspected of having anything to do with Nipsey’s murder either. And about a month after Nipsey’s death, a man believed to be one of Eric’s half-brother’s was found mysteriously dead inside his home. Police called that death a suicide. Like the other 3 killed, Eric’s brother is not suspected to be involved in Nipsey’s killing.

Back in September, it was reported that Holder, the man accused of murdering rapper, Nipsey Hussle, was reportedly found “near dead” inside his jail cell, according to online sources.

Police believe that Eric, who is facing life in prison, may have attempted suicide. That claim has not been independently confirmed.

Prosecutors charged Holder with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
