GARY, IN. (THECOUNT) — James Miller, Markham, IL, has been identified as the victim in a deadly Gary, Indiana crash on Tuesday, according to officials.
Miller, 63, was killed in a crash approximately two miles north of I-80/94 near Lake Station on Tuesday.

Around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening troopers responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on I-65 in Lake Station.
When officials arrived, they determined a Ford Ranger was traveling on I-65, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then struck a concrete barrier. The pickup then struck a guardrail and another concrete barrier before coming to a rest on the west shoulder of the south bound lanes.
Miller had to be extricated from the vehicle.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
It is possible that the driver may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash, reports Indiana State Police.
