NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — The body of John Sexton, who was reported missing after last seen near his home in Chateaugay, NY, Nov. 10, has been located, according to Wednesday morning reports.

Sexton, 18, a senior at Chateaugay Central School District, was last seen leaving his home wearing camouflage coveralls, reported the New York State Police.

Franklin County Coroner responded to the scene and authorized removal of Sexton’s body to a hospital in Malone, reports NorthCountryPublicRadio.

The University of Vermont Healthcare Network at CVPH in Plattsburgh will perform an autopsy on Sexton on Thursday, Nov. 27.

According to the state police, Sexton’s cause of death remains under investigation

According to a release posted on Friday, Nov. 15, no criminal charges are pending in the case.

Police spokeswoman Jennifer Fleishman says it’s been an active investigation since Sexton was reported missing.
