GUADALAJARA, MX. (THECOUNT) — Businessman Jorge Vergara Madrigal, owner of Omnilife Chivas Group, has died on Friday, according to reports.
Through his social networks, his son Amaury Vergara Zatarain confirmed the death of the founding president of the group, due to a respiratory arrest on Friday, November 15 in New York City, United States.

“My dad left surrounded by Luz in the company of our family, full of love and blessed by the deep affection of many of you who always sent him, ” the statement said, reports informador.
Amaury said that as soon as possible, they will announce about the service they will do in the city “to fire him and honor him.”
Madrigal acquired Chivas in 2002 and under his command the team took over a new stadium (Akron) and won two MX League titles (Opening 2006 and Closing 2017), a Concacaf title, two MX Cups, a Super Cup and a MX Women’s League title.
