TUSCALOOSA, AL. (THECOUNT) — James “Jim” Farmer, a former University of Alabama basketball player, has been arrested in Tennessee after an undercover human trafficking investigation, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations.
The Crimson Tide legend was charged with trafficking a person for a commercial sex act, according to officials.

Last week, investigators placed several decoy advertisements on websites known to be linked to commercial sex in order to find individuals seeking sex with minors. Authorities arrested 16 men, including Farmer, and booked them in the Rutherford County Jail.
Farmer played University of Alabama basketball under Wimp Sanderson from 1983 to 1987 before he was the first-round draft pick of the Dallas Mavericks, reports ABC3340.
