SPRING VALLEY, NV. (THECOUNT) — Las Vegas bartender, Kevin Raspperry, has been identified as the suspected drunk driver arrested after being involved in a Sunday morning six-vehicle crash that killed beloved Filipino doctor, Marcial Escobia, according to reports.

Raspperry, 34, was operating a Toyota Avalon drunk when he ran a red light, causing a multi-vehicle crash that killed 67-year-old Escobia. Escobia’s 65-year-old wife, Nimfa, was also critically injured in the crash.

The doctor’s identity was confirmed by his brother, Augustus Escobia, communications head of the Bohol Provincial Capitol, according to FilipinoTimes.

According to reports, Escobia and his wife were traveling in Nissan Pathfinder when a reckless driving Raspperry ran a red light and slammed into their vehicle around 8 a.m. Sunday.

The violent crash occurred at the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard and West Tropicana Avenue at around 8 a.m. and also involved a Regional Transportation (RTC) bus.

Three other drivers of two other cars and the RTC bus were taken to other hospitals after sustaining moderate and serious injuries. Their identities were not provided by officials.

According to records, Raspperry was booked into Clark County Detention Center for several charges including DUI resulting in death, three counts of DUI causing substantial bodily harm and four counts of reckless driving resulting in death or injury.

According to Facebook, Raspperry, who reportedly suffered moderate injuries in the crash, works as a bartender at PKWY Tavern.
