SHELBY COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Stanley M. Turner II has been identified as the teenager found fatally shot while seated in a vehicle in Birmingham on Sunday morning, according to reports.

“Stan” Turner, 17, was found dead Sunday morning in a vehicle parked at the Sonesta ES Suites Birmingham, reports Patch on Monday morning.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Shelby county deputies responded to a nose [sic] complaint at the Sonesta Extended Stay Suites on Greenhill Parkway in northern Shelby County. After the deputies arrived on scene, they found Turner deceased in a parked vehicle. Investigators, along with the Shelby County Coroner’s Office, responded to the scene and are investigating this as a homicide, reports Patch.

This is an ongoing homicide investigation.
