OTA police transmissions indicated a shooting at the same location and that a sole suspect was down.

That suspect later died on the scene.

There was no immediate information on injuries, although medics were performing CPR on someone outside the restaurant, reports JournalStar.

According to witnesses, a disgruntled customer “went off” flipping tables and chairs before storming out of the restaurant that was in full lunchtime rush hour mode. The suspect then allegedly entered a pickup truck and drove it into the building Tuesday afternoon.

A law enforcement officer who happened to be waiting in the drive-thru lane at some point confronted the man, telling him to calm down, a store employee said.

When the suspect refused to follow commands, the officer opened fire fatally striking the suspect at least one time, witnesses said from the scene.

Lincoln police investigating said there is no outstanding threat to the public.
