WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office says an arrest has been made in the murder of Williamsburg County postal worker Irene Pressley.
Sheriff Stephen Gardner confirms that an arrest has been made in the Monday shooting death of Pressley. The Sheriff’s Office has not yet announced the name of the person who has been arrested, reports Live5News on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities in Williamsburg County, South Carolina were actively seeking the suspect in the murder of the mail carrier who was found shot to death along her Andrews route on Monday, according to reports.
Authorities are searching for a suspect in the murder of the 64-year-old Williamsburg County mail carrier.
Coroner Harrison McKnight says, Pressley was found shot to death Monday afternoon inside her marked USPS delivery SUV on Morrisville Road.
United States Postal Inspection Service spokesperson Jessica Adams says Pressley, of Big Bay Rd, Andrews, SC, was on her mail delivery route when she was killed.
Neither the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office nor the Postal Inspection Service would say if any suspects have been identified or a possible motive for the murder, reports WBTV.
Adams says when the person is caught and if convicted, that person could face a federal death penalty.
The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the investigation.
Anyone with possible information on the death is asked to contact police at 911.
