RICHMOND, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Silab Jones has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting on the Southside of Richmond, Virginia, early Sunday morning, according to reports.

Officials say, Silab, 34, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 6300 block Jahnke Road around 2 a.m. after police responded to reports of shots fire in a parking lot near Lucille M. Brown Middle School.

Jones, of the 5800 block of Thorndale Lane, was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.

“The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death,” James Mercante with Richmond Police said, reports WTVR.

Police have not released a suspect description and no additional details were available at last check.
