JERSEY SHORE, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Emergency officials were seen arriving in numbers Saturday to assist in the search for victims after multiple decks collapsed on top of each other at a house in Wildwood, New Jersey, according to reports.
The deck collapse occurred during the annual firefighters weekend at the Jersey Shore resort town.

Photos and videos from the scene showed at least two large decks on a three-story building had collapsed and fallen to the ground. Emergency officials, many of them firefighters, could be seen attempting to lift one of the decks, reports NJ.com
It was unclear how many people, if any were on the decks when they collapsed.
The second and third floor decks appeared to have sheared off the building, falling on a first floor deck. A fourth floor overhang for the upper deck remained intact over the collapse as rescuers worked the scene.
The collapse occurred during the New Jersey Firemen’s Convention, an annual event that brings thousands of current and former firefighters to the Jersey Shore town.
Dozens of people wearing shirts representing fire companies from throughout New Jersey could be seen crowded around the emergency response.
