BONNEVILLE COUNTY, ID. (THECOUNT) — Shelley, Idaho woman, Alicia Oyola, has been identified as the victim in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Bonneville Thursday morning, according to reports.

“Alicia Brown,” 35, was operating a Nissan Xterra in Bonneville Thursday morning when she collided with a Ford Explorer operated by 31-year-old Joshua Allen of Shelley.

According to officials, Allen failed to observe a posted stop sign and broadsided Brown’s vehicle trapping her inside. Her vehicle then caught fire at the intersection of W 113th and S 1st E. around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Allen was able to free himself and exit his vehicle.

After extinguishing the vehicle, Oyola was extricated from her vehicle by first responders.

She was then transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of thermal and blunt force trauma injuries.

Both drivers had been wearing seatbelts, noted the crash reports.

Police say there was no sign of alcohol or drugs involved, reports LocalNews8.

The crash remains under investigation.
