VANDERBURGH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Evansville woman Caroline Rich, a Family Service Counselor, is accused of stealing money raised for funeral expenses of a young child, as well as another person, while working at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville, according to wednesday reports.

Rich, 37, was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on theft and fraud charges after taking money that was donated to help the family pay for funeral expenses of their young child, Oliver Dill, who died after being left in a hot vehicle.

The Alexander Memorial Park is located on Mesker Park Drive, in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, IN

They say Rich pilfered more than $19K from two different families.

The Sheriff confirms one of those families is that of three-year-old Dill.

Oliver died in July after deputies say he was accidentally left inside a hot car at the University of Southern Indiana, reports 14NEWS.
