CHESAPEAKE, VA. (THECOUNT) — Wayne Lohnes, of Virginia Beach, has been identified as the victim killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 664 Sunday afternoon, Virginia State Police say.
Lohnes, 66 was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on South Military Highway, in Chesapeake, when he collided with a Volkswagen around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Lohnes reportedly attempted to merge onto the interstate from the ramp and collided with the Volkswagen that was merging onto the exit ramp, according to WAVY.
Troopers say the driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Lohnes, and his passenger were both ejected from the bike during the collision. The passenger was not immediately identified,
Both victims were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.
Lohnes was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
